This is an internal test conducted by brand enthusiasts. We usually conduct internal fan evaluations before launching new products. These fans are direct long-term customers of our brand, and they can provide us with very sincere and detailed suggestions after the evaluation.
Below are the four selected users. They increased their body weight by carrying backpacks to reach 60kg/130lbs, 80kg/180lbs, 90kg/200lbs, and 100kg/220lbs respectively. Let’s see what each of them has to say.

As a SOHO, I don’t have much need for long-distance travel. I usually ride my scooter to grab a coffee or visit friends, so I’ve never hit the 34mph speed that the M8 advertises—I typically cruise at 15-20mph, enjoying the breeze and the scenery along the way. The scooter weighs 68lbs, which is a bit heavy for me, but I mostly push it into the elevator to my place and don’t really need to carry it around. My favorite feature is the PD charging port; sometimes when I’m sitting outside a café using my phone, it can charge my device.
BACKFIRE asked me to do a range test. With my weight and cruising at around 18mph, I managed to ride 44 miles—an incredible range, even a bit too long for my needs.

I absolutely love the M8! I’ve used many brands of scooters before, but since I don’t have much living space and can’t store a bicycle, I’m really fond of foldable scooters. Thank you, BACKFIRE, for giving me this internal test opportunity.
Unlike most scooters in this price range on the market, the M8 features an extremely stable low-center-of-gravity design. I can even lean into turns at a high speed of 50km/h! It’s clearly designed for urban commuting—its stability at high speeds gives me a great sense of confidence while riding.
Additionally, I’m thrilled to learn that the M8 uses Samsung batteries. In the past, most scooters at this price point used obscure battery cells to cut costs, which made me deeply worried about charging safety, range accuracy, and battery lifespan. That’s another reason I’m so impressed with the M8!

I always have a long daily commute, so a reliable e-scooter with good range is essential for me. My home to work is about 12 miles each way. Ever since I got the test version of the M8, I’ve been riding it to work every day, and I’m absolutely thrilled! The Samsung battery and 30-mile range give me complete peace of mind, and I’ve saved a ton on parking fees and gas every month. On weekends, I sometimes ride it to visit friends, and I really love using its built-in GPS to check my route.

I’m a heavy-duty scooter enthusiast—I own several high-performance heavyweight scooters that cost over $2,000 each. I previously bought a Zealot X from BACKFIRE, which is actually an electric skateboard. I’ve always loved BACKFIRE’s design and quality, so when I heard they were launching a scooter, I signed up for the internal test right away.
After getting my hands on the M8, I was pleased to find it maintains BACKFIRE’s signature design and quality standards. Even though it’s priced under $1,000, its build quality easily rivals that of my more expensive scooters. That said, the top speed of 55km/h is a bit low for me personally—but for most daily commuters, I think it’s more than sufficient. One feature I absolutely love is the built-in GPS. I once had a scooter stolen after I got drunk, and I’ve regretted not installing a tracking GPS ever since. Having a built-in GPS on the M8 gives me great peace of mind—I can check its location and status anytime.
